Instead, Diana resolves to remove her husband from hospital (“You’ll be dead in two weeks!” insists a doctor) and take him home. He has another in the pipeline, Mowgli, a version of Jungle Book following closely on the heels of Jungle Book (2016).
“Breathe” sets out to offer a very specific kind of emotional experience and never wavers from that goal. This image of bodies encased in metal containers is just one variant of a complex visual motif that recurs throughout Serkis’s film.
